Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to lead the overall responsibility for change portfolios by monitoring projects such that cost, quality, plan, and time are controlled and achieved, through ensuring that all projects adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for project and programme management. Develop and implement methodologies, standards as well as align dependencies according to which projects are designed. Moreover, to assess day-to-day workings and monitor progress considering predetermined KPIs/KRIs. Additionally, to enable the successful delivery of a broad range of business change projects to stakeholders across the business. Key responsibilities include scope and business case management; programme vision; benefits and quality management; stakeholder management; portfolio management; programme, planning; risk and issue management as well as vendor management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for program oversight and control using program management and agile tools and techniques. This includes, amongst others, the quality assurance of schedules on respective tools, project statuses, milestones, risks and issues, resourcing plans, and business cases on the company project management tool (PlanEx) as well alignment to best practice and Absa standards
  • Accountable for managing change requests, ensuring that the impact of the change is reflected on the schedule, resourcing plan, and risk and issue log (if required)
  • Accountable for content for all governance and program forums applicable. Must ensure reporting for the change governance capability is completed, adhering to the quality and timelines set out
  • Accountable for stakeholder management related to program execution. Must gain alignment with key stakeholders on risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and decisions.
  • Effectively manage third-party and vendor relationships. Forge strategic partnerships to leverage resources that create measurable added value for both parties, where appropriate
  • Adhoc requests related to the PMO
  • Accountable for implementing the delivery strategy in a way that maximizes the business value

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
