Job Description:
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to work together in a team of experienced Cloud Data Architects, Analysts and Data Engineers.
Job Responsibilities:
- A typical Cloud Data Engineer effort usually involves multiple Data Engineers to perform Data preparation jobs, Data analysis and Data reporting.
- Developing and maintaining integration tools and utilities
- Collaborating with developers to provide advice and support
- The Cloud Data Engineer will be responsible for the design, build and deployment of a project’s cloud components.
- Performing root cause analysis and providing recommendations for resolution
- Testing databases and troubleshooting issues
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of ETL concepts, tools and data structures
- Proficiency in SQL, understanding various databases(Aurora, DynamoDB) and ability to design schemas to meet the requirements
- Ability to perform complex data analysis and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based data assets
- Ability to understand requirements and changes to requirements
- T-Shaped individual who is able to analyse back-end and Front-end requirements and assist where required within the SDLC
- Understanding of core AWS services, and basic AWS architecture best practices
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience in the Amazon Cloud Environment AWS (S3, EMR, AWS Glue, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Data Lake, etc.)
- Experience in Agile
- AWS certification a plus
- Experience building solutions with a microservices architecture
- Relevant Certification will be a plus
- Experience building and maintaining REST APIs
- Experience in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and design patterns
