Job Description:
AWS Trust & Safety (T&S) is a global team that helps protect against abusive use of AWS services while simultaneously working to build trust with AWS’s customers, partners, and other stakeholders. T&S engages with a variety of stakeholders to understand cloud infrastructure-related trust and safety issues, develop fit-for-purpose frameworks to assess and minimize risks for AWS’s customers, and develop guidelines and processes for responding to trust and safety issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end process of creating, collecting, editing and curating communications across T&S teams
- Own the communication strategy framework within T&S
- Oversee all T&S global communications ensuring messaging is consistent and engaging
- Lead the internal marketing, branding and public relations for T&S and it’s stakeholders
- Develop and deliver effective communication strategies that build and strengthen the T&S brand awareness
Job Requirements:
- Great teaching skills that translate into amazing written work
- Advanced proofreading skills, with the ability to identify copy and substantive edits within their own work and the work of others to eliminate defects delivered to the intended audience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
- Self-starter capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction
Qualification & Experience:
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications, In lieu of a degree, additional years of hands-on experience
- Experience developing and implementing communication strategies for a global team based in multiple locations
- 7+ years of communications experience
