Job Description:
We produce high-grade iron ore, the key component in steel widely used in construction and manufacturing across the world. Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Health and Safety practices and to ensure compliance and as well as adherence to safety standards and procedures, for yourself and your colleagues
- Ensure the completion of the necessary job cards relating to the task done including and description of work and spares used Job Card management
- Ensure availability of spare parts and that defective component are identified in order to find and implement permanent solutions
- Ensure that effective maintenance is conducted to ensure optimal availability, as well as reporting any defect and failures to your supervisor to enable effective planning
- Maintain, test and inspect all equipment and machinery to ensure functionality, safety, reliability and availability to complete jobs within timeframe and budget
Job Requirements:
- Qualified as an Artisan (Rigger)
- Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical
- EC driver’s license advantageous
- Mobile Crane License advantageous
- Overhead Crane license advantageous
- N2 Certificate
- 2 years’ experience as an Artisan
- Valid South African Driver’s License
