Job Description:

The role needs to ensure operations are managed in accordance with the DSV standards and policies and procedures. Ensure that the DSV strategy, goals and initiatives are cascaded down through the organization into the various areas of the operation. Support and actively participate in development services and solutions to complement DSV’s offering to the Automotive industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support line side station readiness process with respective production areas on QSHE compliance
• Establish departmental objectives and manage successful execution
• Provide direction and leadership and prioritize the QSHE activities of the operations
• Provides high-level management of Material Planning & Logistics floor operations and Production Control (office support) department
• Manage all HR/IR related processes for all direct and indirect reports
• Coordinate the development of a lean plant layout that achieves Ford Production Systems requirements with the operations area leaders
• Provide leadership and direction to the group, Plan, Develop, Perform Workforce Readiness

Job Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of OHSA and Department of Labour industry processes and standards
• Extensive, in-depth knowledge of OHSA compliance
• Applying the principles of health and safety law – criminal and civil
• Operational experience and the ability to work independently
• Negotiation skills & relationship management – client and / or supplier

Qualification & Experience:

• Registered with SAIOSH and SACPCMP
• Experience managing multiple operations concurrently;
• Experience working in a Manufacturing Operations, Construction, Mining or Industrial Operational Environment
• Highly proficient in Excel/PowerPoint for data management and reporting
• NOSA Certifications
• QSHE Management Diploma, or Certificate courses OR, 2-5 years minimum relevant experience in the QSHE industry with in-depth experience in all job-related requirements listed below
