Job Responsibilities:
- Solve high level problems and take responsibility for actions in an accountable setting
- Ensure governance and risk management to ensure effective implementation of Council resolutions with regards to risk
- Perform financial processes to monitor and enforce effective financial control, corporate governance and financial compliance
- Develop, input and advise on strategic capability and leadership to provide strategic financial management leadership to business partners within the allocated cluster to meet predetermined finance requirements, and ensuring that Departmental demands are met
- Perform operational processes to ensure overall effective management of administrative and support services in service of internal and external clients
- Manage and deliver on the optimization of the business partnership value chain, through effective alignment, implementation and support of practices and processes
- Plan, organise, lead and control administrative and financial support practices, ensuring compliance with the organisational administration, accounting practices and Local Government Acts
Job Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license
- 5 – 8 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Relevant Business Degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
- Change management skills
