Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and drive the digital marketing and engagement strategies aligned to a “fast fashion” methodology
  • Partner and collaborate with all key stakeholders in the business across Buying, Planning, E-Commerce, Operations and Support functions to optimise opportunities for ultimate campaign success
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing to develop and implement the marketing strategy, focusing on evolving the Foschini All Woman brand positioning whilst innovating and driving the communication strategy aligned to the business strategy and profit objectives.
  • Collaborate and work closely with other functions within the Marketing department to ensure a successful 360 delivery of all marketing and communication activities.
  • Analyse data and competitor activity continually evolving the marketing plans and actions to deliver relevancy in order to grow market share.
  • Accelerate the development of key digital marketing capabilities and end-user experiences to drive customer awareness, consideration and retention across our portfolio of products.
  • Empower and support the Marketing Team across all disciplines
  • Lead the Foschini Marketing Team to implement the agreed marketing strategies and communication plan across all channels taping into Customer insights and data.
  • Focus on delivering Marketing KPI’s to support turnover objectives, ROA, Customer acquisition, retention, conversion and engagement.
  • Manage the Marketing Calendar, timelines, budget, top-line campaigns and content for the Marketing Team.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong Business acumen and experience in managing and controlling budgets.
  • Project management: attention to detail and excellent time management

  • Ability to present concepts and ideas to senior levels of leadership. Excellent communication skills including written and verbal communication, active listening and excellent written grammar and spelling.
  • Organised, self-managed team player
  • People and supplier relationship management.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of online technology and have utilised social, digital, event marketing, influencers, PR channels and in-store marketing to grow brands – more than 5 years relevant experience managing brands & teams.
  • Strategic thinker: able to identify opportunities, unpacking insights and interpret data to support the brands strategic objections.
  • Love fashion, retail and passionate about empowering the women of South Africa. Strong understanding of brand management, consumer behaviour and pop culture.
  • Experience in collaborating with other cross functional areas within the business.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Seasoned Marketing Manager/Senior Brand Manager in Fashion retail.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Digital Marketing
  • Experience in leading diverse teams and managing the complexity of varied product categories and outputs
