Hollard Careers – Test Analyst (Finance)

Job Description:

Multi-disciplinary team that encompasses Business, Agency Partners and Software Vendors. The team is responsible for the implementation of processes and systems to support Agency Partners manage their Insurance portfolios across the Quote, Policy and Claims functions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analysis of financial information and applying understanding of accounting concepts (formal accounting experience or accreditation a plus), including financial month-end closing cycle
• Be responsible for work quality and process, ensuring it meets the business standards.
• Work with subject matter experts during testing of the products on each iterative release.
• Carry out analysis of requirements by checking for derived requirements that are logical to business requests.
• Participate in planning on the project/sprint, test execution and provision of regular test progress and quality reporting.
• Liaise with business to understand the business processes and where the system functionality fits to maximize testing effectivity.
• Identify test scenarios and write test cases in Azure DevOps.

Job Requirements:

• Good knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle.
• Awareness of the IFRS17 standards for General Insurance (nice to have).
• Good knowledge in General Insurance and Finance or Data Platform Integration testing (at least one domain).
• Required Knowledge and Experience Knowledge acquired awareness and/or expertise

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience working in Acquisition transaction from the buyer’s side.
• Previous experience with Azure DevOps or similar.
• Experience of using Agile approaches such as User Stories, Release Planning, Retrospectives and utilising automation as appropriate.
• Some experience of devising and executing functional and non-functional tests.
• Experience in implementing automation framework for UI and API testing.
• Experience of delivering the full testing lifecycle gained from working on large projects.
• Experience in test automation is advantageous, specifically Selenium, C# and Specflow.
