Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement comprehensive executive and secretariat support services to the Commissioner’s office
- Coordinate financial and administrative support to the Commissioner
- Ensure the implementation of effective risk and compliance management practices
- Coordinate the effective operations within the office of the Commissioner
- Recommend methods and procedural on financial changes of the Commissioner’s activities
- Revisit, review and streamline all processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in operations execution
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of all BMA legislation and related prescripts
- Understanding of other best practice e.g. frameworks for Corporate Governance, compliance and reporting
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Follow –up and decision-making, knowledge management, planning and organising
- Time management, customer focus and good telephone etiquette
- Good grooming, business writing and presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexible approach and willingness to go an extra mile
- Empathy, external actualisation and frustration tolerance
- Pay attention to detail, creativity and tact
Qualification & Experience:
- An undergraduate qualification in Public Management / Business Management / Office Management or related qualification at NQF level 6 as recognised by SAQA
- Minimum of 3 years’ middle management experience in Administration / Public Management, and a working understanding of corporate governance
- Knowledge of the South African Constitution, the Public Service Regulatory Framework and Public Finance Management Act
- Knowledge of the National Treasury Regulations, reporting frameworks and critical timelines
- A valid drivers’ license, willingness to travel and work extended hours.
- Knowledge of the National Treasury Public Sector Risk Management Framework
