HSRC Nursing Vacancies – Indigenous Knowledge Systems

Job Description:

The HSRC is accountable to the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa, to which it submits annual reports incorporating annual financial statements and performance reports audited by the Auditor General of South Africa. The HSRC receives public funds to support its work, but it is not fully funded by the government, hence additional revenue is generated by responding to tenders and calls for proposals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ontological and epistemological ways of indigenous communities
• Offering practical training on IKS research methods and processes, and dissemination to rural and indigenous communities.
• At the end of the workshop researchers should have an understanding of IK research processes.
• They should be able to understand how rural and indigenous communities work so that they are able to increase local participation from community members in their projects.
