Job Description:
To manage the timeous execution of all bulk, dry bulk, drummed and packaged product export activities in KZN
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifies risks and ensures that exports of products are executed in a manner which adheres to legal, safety and supplier requirements
- Responsible for checking of freight rates, export tariffs and duties and all other export related costs
- Assists in identifying optimization opportunities, gap analysis, redesign and implementation, ensuring that SOP’s and WI’s are updated
- Implements Marine export strategies and policies
- Identifies incorrect master records and makes relevant corrections via the correct internal stakeholders
- Drives continuous improvement of the export value chain for all products
- Ensures schedule adherence for activities that interface with external service providers, (like ports, shipping lines, customs, clearing and forwarding agents & customers) to find the best solution for Sasol product exports
- Oversees the operational execution of bulk, dry bulk, drummed and packaged product exports in KZN
- Exports bulk, dry bulk, drummed and packaged products in accordance with SAP design
Job Requirements:
- Supervisory / Managerial skill (Wish)
- SHERQ export supply chain knowledge – (Must)
- Knowledge of export processes and common practices – (Must)
- Knowledge of SAP, MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) – (Must)
Qualification & Experience:
- 8+ years relevant experience in the bulk export or a similar work environment (Must)
- Degree in Shipping Logistics or completed relevant degree
- National Diploma in Shipping Logistics (added advantage)
- 4+ years’ supervisory or management (Must)
- Experience in managing the operational relationship with external service providers, shipping lines, isotank operators, National Ports, SARS and clearing and forwarding companies would be highly advantageous
- Customs and Excise qualification (Wish)
