Job Description:

The main purpose of the job: To deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice

Job Responsibilities:

• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged
• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence

Job Requirements:

• Nursing processes and procedures
• Relevant nursing legislation
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Patient assessment skills
• Develop/ modify a nursing care plan

Qualification & Experience:

• 1-year experience in a relevant specialty area: ICU , General, Obstetrics; Theatre, and Emergency care.
• Degree / Diploma in General Nursing, registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
• Postgraduate certificate/ diploma in a relevant specialty area
• 2 years experience in a relevant specialty area: ICU , General, Obstetrics; Theatre, and Emergency care.
