Job Description:
An exciting opportunity exists in General High Care for an Enrolled Nurse Specialist at Life Entabeni Hospital, situated in KZN. The above position will report to the Unit Manager. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of the unit and ensure quality nursing care to all patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of stock in the unit
- Conduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager.
- Comply with all Health, Safety and Infection Control Policies.
- Supervise subordinates and provide guidance where necessary.
- Provide health education to patients and staff.
- Deliver quality nursing care to patients according to Scope of Practice
- Ensure customer satisfaction
Job Requirements:
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work in a team.
Qualification & Experience:
- At least one year experience in a high care unit
- Must be knowledgeable and able to nurse critically ill patients in the ICU within their scope of practice
- Registered as an Enrolled Nurse with SANC.
