Job Description:
A vacancy exists for a Registered Nurse – Orthopaedic, based at Life Cosmos Hospital, Mpumalanga, reporting to the Unit Manager, Charmaine Strydom. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing holistic patient care and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders in line with Company & Hospital strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying doctor’s preferences and stakeholders needs and implement in the working environment
- Identifying and ensuring staff undergo department specific micro orientation
- Evaluating employee labour hours and manage debit and credit hours
- Ensuring daily care rounds are conducted and investigation of complaints.
- Monitoring and implementing preventative measures to minimise risk
- Minimising unnecessary stock wastage and facilitating maintenance of equipment
- Comply with ISO requirements in order to facilitate infection control
Job Requirements:
- Verbal & written communication and presentation
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
- Current registration with the relevant professional or regulatory body
- Problem-solving, analysis and judgement
Qualification & Experience:
- Nursing Experience of at least 2 years in orthopaedic nursing essential
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing
