Nampak Divfood Vacancies – Slitter Welder Operator

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensuring equipment is kept in good running order.
• Reporting defective issues to the Can maker
• Operating various slitter and welder machines to produce a product as per laid down standards.
• Maintaining and ensuring a high standard of safety, housekeeping and hygiene
• Trouble shooting in order to ensure that lines produce at optimum efficiency.
• Conducting quality checks, recording results on the quality charts, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.

Job Requirements:

• Have well developed analytical and problem solving skills
• Be a team player
• Must be able to communicate, read and write in English.
• Have the ability to perform well under pressure
• Must be a self-starter and be willing to work shifts and overtime;
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently

Qualification & Experience:

• Previous Slitter/Welder Operating experience (advantageous)
• Manufacturing working knowledge
• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ Operator experience in a Manufacturing Environment
