Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible for the Case Management function at the hospital, by ensuring accurate and timeous updating and billing of all patient accounts. He/ She will also be responsible for ensuring effective patient liaison interactions and dispute resolution.
Job Responsibilities:
- All reasonable ad hoc duties as requested by the line manager.
- Effectively communicate with other role players in the healthcare team.
- Liaising with medical aids, doctors, patients, billings department and all necessary Stakeholders.
- Management of queries.
- Accurate and timeous communication and follow through with medical aids.
- Knowledge and application of ARS contracts.
- Available to work overtime when requested by Billings Manager.
- Ability to implement changes effectively as well as manage associated administrative tasks.
- Effective patient liaison and query resolution.
- Daily visits of all medical aid patients in the wards.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience in a multidisciplinary hospital environment
- The ability to work well under pressure and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions
- Hospital or Medical Scheme Case Management will be advantageous
- The ability to maintain a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge by keeping abreast of current development and trends in the medical related field impacting on the post
- Previous hospital or Medical Scheme case management experience advantageous
- Computer literate with strong administration and organizational skills
- ICU nursing experience will be advantageous
Qualification & Experience:
- ICU nursing experience will be advantageous
- B Degree / Diploma Nursing Qualification
- Registered Nurse qualification currently registered with SANC is essential
