Job Description:

At Old Mutual Multi-Managers we are looking for a person who is passionate about data. Data is the cornerstone of our investment business with complexity arising through the variety of processes and systems that utilise the data for different purposes and outcomes. In this complex environment, data analysis is required to ensure that meaningful insights are gained from the data in order to support decision-making and exploit the value from our data.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyses data to support business requirements.
• Interprets and analyses data and presents.
• Builds, generates and distributes reports as required.
• Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality.
• Internally accepts and lives the company values.
• Liaises with data delivery teams and data consumers.
• Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results.
• Performs data redundancy checks and data disposal exercises.
• Must be able to work without supervision for repetitive functions with supervision for more complex tasks.

Job Requirements:

• BCom or equivalent qualification, analytical or statistical focus
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in data practice and analysis
• Experience in financial services, particularly asset management or multi-management industry is advantageousKnowledge of Infostore data warehouse is an advantage
• Demonstrated experience using SQL to analyse relational databases
• Candidate’s academic qualification should support good analytical and numerical reasoning
