Job Description:
Making sure the company’s procurement agreements are in place and tender process is standardized.
Job Responsibilities:
- Continuous Improvement and execution of the Company’s procurement strategy
- Collaborate with end users in defining scope/specifications and expectations of the Company
- Promote BBBEE and Host community Procurement
- Implement the formal use of the company’s contracts
- Research and evaluate areas of opportunities for cost reductions
- Consolidate Tender Documentation and manage the Tender process
Job Requirements:
- Computer Knowledge
- Sourcing Strategy development
- Knowledge of Contract Management
- Fully Conversant in Safety Requirements
- Knowledge of the Mining Charter
- Knowledge of ERP Systems
- Knowledge of Tender processes
Qualification & Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role in the mining industry would be advantageous.
- 2 years Management experience
- Experience in technical buying in a mining, mechanical, electrical or chemical environment
- 5 Years Mining experience, preferably underground mine
- Valid Driver’s license
- 10-years directly related experience in Procurement/Contract Management Role
- NQF Level 6 Commercial or Technical Qualification
