Job Description:
The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is looking for self-motivated two individuals to assist with the development and implementation of the Biodiversity Education and Public Engagement Programmes at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties and ensure personal and professional development.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and coordination of the Awareness-raising Programme;
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of teaching and learning resource materials for the programme; and
- Contribute to the development, implementation and coordination of the Kids in Garden Programme;
Job Requirements:
The following competencies are required for the candidate to be successful in this position: a confident and eloquent communicator who is able to communicate well with learners, educators, and community members; comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Department of Basic Education’s Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS); proven ability to work under pressure, whilst being quality, cost, and safety conscious; good planning, organizing, interpersonal
Qualification & Experience:
This position requires a National Certificate or equivalent qualification at NQF 4. A Higher Certificate or equivalent and relevant qualification at NQF 5 will be an added advantage. This position also requires a minimum of 1 year work experience in the relevant field.
