Job Description:

We are looking for an agile and dynamic incumbent who is self-motivated and can motivate others and influence decisions to meet the requirements of a rapidly changing IT landscape. They must possess strong analytical skills and a have strong background and knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks, specifically TOGAF, to support and provide solutions to business needs and requirements. The incumbent also be be self and results-driven.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identification of new and emerging software technologies, methodologies and products and ICT methods and techniques and the on-going assessment of their relevance and potential value to the organisation.
• Ensure that applications architectures balance functional, service quality and application system management requirements as indicated by the business strategy requirements.
• To define and manage baseline Application Architectures (AS IS)
• Ensure that there are clear engagement models with all stakeholders, and continually and carefully manage relationships with stakeholders.
• Identify and investigate specific technologies, products, methods and techniques to assess their potential benefit to the organization.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology trends & developments in areas of interest to the organization by reading relevant academic research, publications, suppliers’ information, attending conferences, seminars and direct contacts..
• To define application standards, catalogues, policies, capabilities etc. and get them approved via the appropriate governance structures i.e Architecture Review Board and/or Solution Review Board. Through multiple initiatives, drive the rationalization of applications.
• Take responsibility for overall applications design methodologies; lead the development of component specifications and detailed designs from applications architectures.
• Establish policy for the selection of applications architecture components.
• To define application position papers, views, viewpoints, reference models and provide recommendations to stakeholders

Qualification & Experience:

• Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND Relevant IT Qualification (s) / Certification (s), and 8-10 years’ experience in Enterprise Architecture environment, of which a minimum of 5 years is within the Applications Architecture domain role.
• Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 15 years experience in Enterprise Architecture environment, of which a minimum of 5 years is within the Applications Architecture domain role
• Knowledge Enterprise Architecture frameworks, Toolsets and MS Office. Relevant Architecture Certification (Togaf). Modelling and mapping technical skills.
• Bachelor’s: Information Tech & Computer Science AND 8-10 years’ experience in Enterprise Architecture environment, of which a minimum of 5 years is within the Applications Architecture domain role
