Job Description:
Provide the leadership required to create high performance teams – capable of reaching all their targets, as well as to do the coaching required for the teams to function successfully without supervision. Carries a 2.9.2 legal appointment for the mine.
Job Responsibilities:
- Governing call-out system and protocol management
- Trigger sections when environmental monitoring (ventilation and CH4) deviations occur so they take appropriate action
- Oversee communication and execution of the Fulco services WBS
- Proper handover to the next oncoming COC shift supt.
- Expedite, continuity of the execution of schedules and plans across shifts and crews
- Facilitate proper handover takes place at DS to NS overlap (20:30 to 22:00) between shift superintendents
- Trigger relevant response person(s) should specific infrastructure go on stop
- Co-ordinate activities required due to schedule break-ins
- Respond in shift to breakdowns and emerging work during the shift being overall accountable to ensure process effectiveness and coordination for start to end delivery of critical ad-hoc deliveries.
- Emergency response plan activation
Job Requirements:
- Manage Key role turnover rate vs. industry average, absenteeism, employee engagement and enablement score, Tons /man/year, Monthly bonus targets
- Manage vacancy rates vs. Staff Establishment (vacancies incl. Absence due to TSD / PSD), AWOP, and Successors for critical positions
- Drive adherence to risk based Planned Task observations Matricies
- Training days for department
Qualification & Experience:
- Valid Red Ticket (or ability to obtain one)
- Grade 12 or N3 or NCV Level 4 with Maths and Science
- 5 years Foreman experience
- Certificate in Blasting, Gas Testing, Competent A
- Drivers licence
- A valid Trade Test Certificate (Electro Mechanic)
- Mine Overseer Certificate of Competence for Fiery Mines
- Minimum 5 years Shiftboss experience
- GR12/N3/NCV L4 with Maths & Science
