Job Description:

The Technical Delivery Lead, as part of the Sasol ecoFT Technology & Engineering Management team, is primarily accountable for driving the translation of the business need into the development and realisation of the technical solution, engineering activities, deliverables during the early phases of venture development in which Sasol ecoFT intends equity participation

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Projects & Engineering Solutions team to ensure own delivery during early development stages (pre-Feasibility) is of high quality
• Drive the development and implementation of systems and tools to continuously improve both speed and quality of delivery on technical solutions during early venture development phases
• Digitalisation strategy and approach
• Ensures appropriate definition of the technical baseline and ensure the correct set of technical documents are compiled as per the gate requirements
• Collaborate closely with Projects & Engineering Solutions for planning, support and delivery through P&E Solutions on technical execution during phases following pre-Feasibility.
• Agile ways of work
• Ensure alignment of engineering effort with Business need for each project/venture
• Collaborate with Sasol ecoFT Licensing team to deliver early stage technical solutions.
• Build and maintain close relationships with prospective Sasol ecoFT equity partners
• Own the agenda for integration and project development (non-project specific studies to optimise the integration scope and execution methodologies e.g. modularisation and standard packages)
• Responsible for developing comprehensive set of technical considerations for each opportunity at early stage of development and aligning that with counterparts of prospective equity partners.
• Management of technical risk on projects (early stages)
• Deliver quality early stage technical solutions and cost estimates in line with business requirements (schedule, cost, quality)
• Coordinate and manage schedule of pre-FEED delivery of technical solutions on portfolio of projects/ventures in ecoFT.

Job Requirements:

• MTech (South Africa) or equivalent
• External partner relationship building and management
• Good understanding of the Gas-to-Liquids and majority of associated processes employed in Power-to-Liquid solutions
• Petrochemical capital projects (green fields development), with knowledge in the disciplines of Engineering Management and Project Management.
• Post Graduate Honours Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field beneficial
• University Engineering Bachelor’s Degree
• Knowledge base related to other engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, safety, risk management, quality management and project controls.
