Job Description:
Manage the scoping, preparation and execution of shutdowns and turnarounds through cost effective utilisation of assigned internal resources and contractors. Manage the gathering, the review and the process of challenging scope of shutdowns and turnarounds. Oversee the technical development of identified scope to optimise repair and replacement methods and critical paths and mitigate potential risks. Lead the identification and justification of long lead shutdown materials and services. Lead the process of compiling the technical requirements for shutdown RFQs. Drive and oversee the work pack preparation for shutdowns and T&Is. Manage the shutdown late scope addition process. Manage the shutdown preparation phase processes and lead post shutdown reviews. Manage shutdown contracts with external service providers. Optimisation of shutdowns through efficient resourcing and improved work methods.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist SM to develop/maintain/optimise BU work and shutdown planning strategy and processes/structures to be effective and cost optimised
- Make quality decisions and find solutions to improve team and BU results regarding safety, reliability, availability and cost
- Manage T&I and shutdown execution strategy and contracting model for best quality at lowest cost
- Oversee/Manage T&I and shutdown planning and execution processes for on time readiness and delivery of quality results on time and within budget
- Drive BU T&I and shutdown strategy and long term (10 year) plans to be effective and cost optimised
- Develop/manage/implement specific T&I and shutdown preparation and execution plans
- Develop/Implement/Manage T&I and shutdown support contracts
- T&I and shutdown cost management with regards to labour, services and materials to meet budget
- Oversee & Manage T&I and shutdown preparation and execution activities
- Manage T&I and shutdown support contractors to assure quality, maximise productivity and optimise cost
- Identification and alignment of stakeholder needs regarding shutdown scope, timing and duration into executable plans
Job Requirements:
- Relevant Post Graduate qualification (i.e. Masters in Asset Management) (Strong Wish)
- Technical/Engineering (B Eng / B Sc/ B.Tech)
- 8 to 10 years in petrochemical industry
- 4-6 years’ experience in engineering/maintenance/operations management
- Experience in managing contracts and contractors
- Track record of Operations/Maintenance management and preparation and execution of shutdowns
