Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify rock types, reef facies-types, lithological succession and geological structures
- Adherence to data and information requirements and standards
- Adherence to sampling standards, procedures and protocols
- All data gathered underground to be captured on the centralized databased – same day
- Adherence to observation and data collection standards and protocols
- Attendance at all safety, health and environmental related meetings and campaigns
- Interpret the evaluation / geological conditions and prepare the channel samples
- Adherence to safety, health and environmental standard and requirements
Job Requirements:
- Have Technical knowledge and understanding of procedures, evaluation & geological theory pertaining to formation / deposition of precious metal deposits
- Have computer skills (MRM Software Suit and MS Office)
- Have basic knowledge of technical service rendered to the mining teams i.e. survey, ventilation, rock engineering
- Be able to perform various measuring techniques related to ore body and the mining and exploration thereof
Qualification & Experience:
- Have Elementary certificate in Valuation
- Have intermediate certificate in Geology
- Hold a valid Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent NQF 4 qualification with Mathematics and Physical Science
