Job Responsibilities:
- Assist team members with tasks such as support, charging up, early morning examinations and equipping
- Adhere to health and safety and environmental practices according to standards and procedures
- Perform all duties related to the position
- Ensure that daily targets are met
- Responsible for his/her own safety as well as for others according to the Mine’s Health and Safety Act
- To drill holes in rock for preparation of a safe quality planned blast
Job Requirements:
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
- Should good communication skills
- Be able to work shifts
- Have ABET level 3 certificate or equivalent
- Be in possession of a Rock Drill operator’s certificate or license
- Should be a team player in a highly productive environment
- Have good knowledge of the workings of the mine
