Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for his/her own safety as well as for others according to the Mine’s Health and Safety Act
- Repair minor breakdowns and doing pre and post basic maintenance on his/her equipment
- Adhere to health and safety and environmental practices according to standards and procedures
- Inspect the winch against a checklist and report items or issues that require attention
- Assist team members with tasks such as supporting, charging up, early morning examination and equipping
- Transport/remove broken rock, ore and material safely and cost effectively in his/her area of responsibility
- Perform all duties related to the position
Job Requirements:
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills (read and write English)
- Have a minimum of 6 months underground mining experience
- Pass a relevant Psycho-motor skills test
- Have a Winch Operator’s license
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at a relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
