Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the Health and Safety of employees, material and discipline
- Adhere to the Mine’s Health and Safety codes of practice, Mineral Act and regulation requirement
- Adhere to the Mine’s Health And Safety Codes Of Practice , Mineral Act and Regulation requirements
- Develop and install a proactive approach to all safety issues in the work place
- Comply with the Mine’s Traffic management plan
- Focus on safe quality of work, achieving of production targets, and housekeeping, supervise and coordinate support functions
- Communicate daily mining schedules and planning with the crew
Job Requirements:
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
- Hold a valid Grade 12, N2 Certificate or equivalent
- Have a valid Supervisors Certificate
- Appropriate computer skills: Excel and Word and MS projects will be advantages
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Mining
- Be self-motivated
