Job Description:
Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Business Development Strategy Analyst to join our team in Cape Town.
Job Responsibilities:
- Using online tools and resources as well as identifying and engaging other information sources
- Assembling and analysing the data to determine the size of the market for new concepts
- Building Excel models to quantify the size of opportunities
- Project managing the implementation of selected opportunities
Researching how solutions are being implemented locally and internationally - Applying creative problem solving to develop solutions
- Building implementation plans and budgets for the execution of new projects
- Providing the research and analysis required to develop robust businesses cases for new opportunities to grow the business
Job Requirements:
- Ability to disaggregate and structure solutions to ambiguous problems
- Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude and high energy
- Ability to interview and interact professionally with internal and external people
- Capability to present ideas succinctly, in writing and verbally
- Strong analytical and critical thinking, using data to inform decisions
Qualification & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role (e.g. in e-commerce, consulting, engineering)
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a major in a quantitative subject
- Post graduate degree preferred
