Job Description:
Takealot.com has got the contract for the fulfilment of one of South Africa’s universities’ distance learning programmes and needs someone up for the challenge to manage this project. The university provides modules & text book requirements and student particulars. With this the Takealot team jumps in and does the rest.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist and guide fulfilment team
- Give regulate detailed feedback to Division manager and rest of team
- Handle all communication to and from the University
- Ensure that invoices are submitted and paid
- Stock management and provide buy-in suggestions to buying team
- Manage international deliveries
- Troubleshoot queries, failed deliveries etc
Job Requirements:
- Strong product and buying planning skills
- Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude; self-motivated
- Comfortable with change and excellent team player
- Strong analytical and critical thinking, ability to use data to inform decisions, identify the root cause and resolve problem
- Ability to manage priorities according to clear prioritization and structured planning
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
Qualification & Experience:
- Strong commercial acumen
- Retail buying/e-commerce experience preferable but not an absolute requirement
- Problem solving/root cause analysis
- Project experience preferable but not an absolute requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
