Job Description:
Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Accounts Payable Clerk (International) to join our Finance Team in Cape Town.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clean set of International Accounts Payable reconciliations (i.e no unresolved items)
- Resolve discrepancies and queries timeously through interaction with suppliers, logistics service providers and the Inbound, buying and planning teams
- Accurate payment allocations on supplier accounts
- Compiling and submitting all relevant documents required to the bank after review
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required by accounting team
- Perform monthly International account reconciliations and submit for payment
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to work overtime when required
- Ability to work independently but also be a team player
- Execute the workflow according to set priorities and deadlines
- Must be computer literate in MS Excel packages and Evolution/Sage
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Qualification & Experience:
- Certificate/Diploma in Accounting
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) with Accounting
- 3-4 years experience in International Accounts Payable (Expense and Trade suppliers)
- Proficiency in Sage and Microsoft excel
- Course in International Trade / Import Management preferred
- General knowledge of Accounting
