Job Description:

Assist with the compilation of creditor payments and review allocated departmental receipts for debt settlement in conjunction with the National Revenue Fund for transfers and payments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage institutions to recover amounts allocated to control/ suspense accounts
  • Prepare management reports and other relevant information pertaining to departmental expenditure/payments
  • Assist with the allocation of departmental revenue and verify payments made to the National Revenue Funds
  • Compile payment requisitions and allocate departmental expenditure to the relevant beneficiaries
  • Comply with relevant guidelines, regulations and departmental prescripts applicable to expenditure /payments Cash
  • Advice on the reconciliation of the control accounts with the bank account as prescribed

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of transversal financial systems utilised in government (Persal/ BAS/ LOGIS).
  • A minimum 2 years’ experience obtained in a financial management environment
  • Knowledge of the government procurement process
  • A minimum National Diploma/ B. Degree at (NQF 6-7) in Accounting/ Financial Management
