Job Description:
The Department offers various modules at the undergraduate level, and it also offers a comprehensive broad-based Honours degree as well as two coursework degrees at the Master’s level. These latter coursework and mini-dissertation programmes lead to registration as either a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
Job Responsibilities:
- Contribution to departmental research initiatives and output
- Contribute to the Clinical/Counselling Psychology professional training programme
- Teaching at the undergraduate and post graduate level
- Research and clinical supervision at the Master’s and Doctoral level
- Research supervision at Honours level
Job Requirements:
- Evidence of successful track record of postgraduate supervision

- Track record of accredited publications
- Mentorship abilities
- Research capabilities
- Leadership skills
Qualification & Experience:
- Registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA
- Evidence of 5-10 years’ experience of teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level
- A PhD degree in Psychology
- Experience in clinical/therapeutic supervision (including assessments and report writing)
