Job Description:
Perform HIV and SARS-CoV-2 vaccine-related research as per grant funded objectives
Job Responsibilities:
- ELISAs, structural biology techiniques including X-ray crystallography)
- Molecular biology (nucleic acid extractions, plasmid preparation, PCR, cloning, and sequencing)
- Protein biochemistry (recombinant protein expression and purification, performing serological assays including
- Mammalian cell culture (sterile technique, maintenance and cryopreservation of cell lines)
Job Requirements:
- High level of computer literacy
- High level problem solving ability needed
- Exceptional self-management, conscientious work ethic as well as above average attention to detail needed
- Should be able to work under pressure with efficient multi-tasking
- Motivated, organized, systematic and professional
Qualification & Experience:
- Two years previous laboratory experience and competence in at least two key performance areas
- MSc in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology or related discipline
