Job Description:

Assist the lab perform HIV and SARS-CoV-2 vaccine-related research as per grant funded objectives

Job Responsibilities:

• To assist with the production of viral stocks and maintenance of repositories
• To assist with preparation of reagents
• To freeze and aliquot cells for long-term storage
• To receive samples and maintain sample inventory
• To maintain cell-lines

Job Requirements:

• Exceptional self-management, conscientious work ethic as well as above average attention to detail needed
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• High level problem solving ability needed
• Motivated, organized, systematic and professional
• High level of computer literacy
• Should be able to work under pressure with efficient multi-tasking

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience with human tissue culture is essential
• Database management would be an advantage
• National Diploma in a health-related topic or a B.Sc. Degree
• Good Organizational skills
• Two years previous laboratory experience
